                     Thailand

Thailand is a interesting country and a good place to visit for trips. And  sights to the citizens Thailand is offering. The food and attraction, tourism makes Thailand what it is today. Thailand is also very small which makes it a more comfortable country. The customs, dining, life styles, and background will make you fall in love with Thailand.
The customs in Thailand are unusual. The Thai hold a spoon in the right hand and a fork in the left, pushing food onto the spoon with the fork. If the Thai have guest over they try to offer them as much food as they can handle. The main foods they eat are rice, noodles and meat. They also think that a person’s head is sacred and not to be touch unless a parent is doing it to their child, and the feet are the least sacred and should never be pointed directly to anybody and it is customary to remove one’s shoe when entering a Buddhist temple or someone’s private home.
The life style of the Thai is interesting. Dating and marriage in Thailand are  very complicated process. First, you have to get well acquainted with the bride’s family and make himself agreeable to them. Second, the groom sends his parents to the young woman’s family to make his wishes known. If both families agree on the marriage, a wedding date is set. The groom traditionally pays a bride-price to the bride’s parents as return for raising her. Some parents return the item of cash to the couple as a wedding gift. Pink is the traditional color for the bridal gowns. Grooms wear a Western-style suit, pants and high- necked jacket. The Thai holidays are celebrated in an oddly way. For new years, this is celebrated in April. They throw buckets of water on each other to celebrate. Other holidays are the Queens birthday, New Years, Coronation Day and Labor Day.
The Thai are unusual people compared to other countries, but they probably think the same thing about Americans. From the way you hold a spoon and the process of getting married I think Thailand would be a very interesting country to live in.
